This front balcony overlooks the lawn of Rose Hall with the Caribbean Sea beyond. A more casual back balcony overlooked the lawn. It was rumored that Annie would sit on the back balcony and watch slaves be tortured.
These stairs lead down to a "dungeon" beneath Rose Hall, one which includes a secret tunnel and areas formerly used as a prison. (Today it's a lot less gruesome...it serves as a gift store and a pub.) Don't miss the photos on this level taken by guests; many reportedly show ghost images in the upstairs mirror. |
